Tony Payne has served a wide variety of roles during his 30 years at the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music.  He holds degrees from Wheaton College, Bowling Green (OH), and Northwestern University. Recent compositions include All is in Christ for choir, and How Exalted is Your Name commemorating the 150th anniversary of the City of Wheaton, IL.  Tony enjoys writing vocal music that relates historical characters or events and in 2012, he wrote The Last Words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer for soprano, flute and piano. He has been a co-editor of several hymnbooks includingAleluya: The Music of Lausanne II, has written dozens of songs, hymns and spiritual songs. A passionate eclectic, Tony has also been a Church musician for over forty years, navigating through all of the complex conditions and changes that have characterized music and worship in the late 20th century.
